Having trouble ranking on a large website that’s been around a while? Have you check your backlinks to see if any of them are spammy links. The chances are if your domain is more than 5 years old you probably have some bad backlinks that could be causing you ranking problems. There are some free checkers like https://moz.com/link-explorer that will give you at least an idea if you have a backlink spam problem. You most likely will have to pay a little money at least for a month to get a really good list and see which backlinks are toxic to your site.
