Having trouble ranking on a large website that’s been around a while? Have you check your backlinks to see if any of them are spammy links. The chances are if your domain is more than 5 years old you probably have some bad backlinks that could be causing you ranking problems. There are some free checkers like https://moz.com/link-explorer that will give you at least an idea if you have a backlink spam problem. You most likely will have to pay a little money at least for a month to get a really good list and see which backlinks are toxic to your site. I’ve seen clients traffic greatly increase after they disavow the spammy links. Just make sure you know what you’re doing or you can actually hurt your ranking if you do it wrong. So if you’re not comfortable in disavowing links then have seo professional
