Sitemaps and why they help you rank.
Making a sitemap can help you rank with Google and is an important part of your SEO strategy. So what is all the fuss about a site map? Think of it like a library of books. The computer has a list of all the books in the library and directs you where they are.
A sitemap is similar. Its a list of all your website, blog, pages when they were made and when they were updated. Without a sitemap or an updated sitemap Google might hit the home page on you website and never crawl any new pages you made on your site.
Its very important to register your sitemap with Google Webmaster tools
under the sitemap section. A lot of websites will auto update their sitemap but you have a website that doesn't you can always google free sitemap generator to get a sitemap created.
